Rya Irons is a recent graduate and former student-athlete from Oklahoma State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in pre-counseling. Her research interests center on the psychology and sociology of race and ethnicity, sports and performance, and maternal mental health. Rya plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, with the long-term goal of becoming a sports and performance psychologist. Outside of academics, she enjoys staying active, taking long walks, and spending time with her five-year-old poodle, Koda.
